Industrial design intern
Background

My first Industrial Design internship was with a company called Design Brand, based in New Zealand. I learned Rhino (CAD) and assisted with the Hushamok hammock design.

Hushamok Hammock Redesign
My main project at Design Brand was to help redesign the Hushamok baby hammock to pass safety regulations in the USA. The current hammock could tip over too easily since it was attached on one cross bar. I explored the idea of having two bars to help with stability, and made a fabric prototype to test out.

Hushamok ended up selling the revised concept, although it looks like it is no longer for sale as of 2022.
Learning Rhino (CAD)
This was a great opportunity since the company required me to learn Rhino by following all of the tutorials. This helped with my rendering capabilities.
